Aqua X Classes

JCC of Youngstown offers dynamic, group exercise classes throughout the day in the beautifully maintained heated indoor pool.

Class size is limited - please make a reservation and check in with the lifeguard when attending class.

Class Descriptions


AQUA CARDIO BLAST
This cardio class combines fantastic music and a motivational environment to get your heart pumping and strengthen all of your major muscles.

AQUA CHALLENGE
A high energy, light aerobic water workout in the shallow end of the pool. A little bit of everything and a whole lot of fun. Some equipment may be used.

AQUA DANCE
Enjoy dance exercises in the water while moving and grooving to motivating music. A low-impact class focused on strength, toning, and balance. All fitness levels are welcome, so join the party! 

CARDIO BURST
This is a high energy, fast paced fitness class. Have fun getting fit in a group setting, in a class that focuses on cardiovascular health and muscle strength.

DEEP WATER POWER
A 60-minute class conducted in transitional and deep depths of water. Participants learn to increase their intensity to get the most out of their workout. Class is for all fitness levels and flotation is provided. This 45-minute Aerobic workout provides high intensity with low impact on your joints.

DOUBLE IMPACT
A high energy class that takes place in either the shallow or deep end (depending on comfort level of participant), containing movements to suit different levels of immersion. Includes interval training and resistance utilizing equipment.

H2O COMBO
A deep/shallow combination class that will jumpstart your cardiovascular workout, wake up your muscles with strengthening exercises, and end with morning stretching for maximum flexibility and range of motion.  

MOBILITY PLUS
Stimulate joint movements, improve range of motion, and increase balance. This class is approved by the Arthritis Foundation and benefits people with arthritis, chronic orthopedic conditions, or those who are returning to exercise after an injury.

STEP IT UP FLOW
This class will incorporate exercises to build muscle, improve balance, and enhance flexibility. This class will also focus on improving strength, range of motion, balance, and endurance.

WATER IN MOTION
Condition your cardiovascular system in this low impact version of water aerobics. This is a Silver Sneakers® approved class.

WATER WONDERS
This low impact class will help improve posture, decrease joint and muscle pain, and the risk for falls and injury. The full range of motion exercises will also help with strength and flexibility.
