2024 will be Amber's second year at Camp JCC and her first year as Camp Director. Amber has more than 10 years of experience teaching in the school system and joined the JCC staff full time in 2023 as Director of Youth and Camping Services. She is excited to take on her new rule as Camp Director and looks forward to creating lasting memories for the campers.
Sam Sheely, Camp JCC Assistant Director

This summer will be Sam's fifth summer at Camp JCC. Sam was a Senior Counselor for three summers and a Program Coordinator last summer, and is excited to take on this new role. She graduated from YSU with a degree in Early Childhood Intervention, and is a Title teacher during the school year. Her favorite part of camp is watching the kids grow and learn from each other.
Alyssa Dilullo, Unit Head (Grades K-2)
This is Alyssa’s fifth summer at camp JCC, fourth as a member of leadership. She works at the JCC year round as the JCare and Youth Administrative Assistant. Alyssa is pursuing a degree in education with a minor in social work from YSU. Her favorite part of camp is the relationships she has built and continues to build with campers each year.
Grace Strodtbeck, Unit Head (Grades 3-5)
This will be Grace’s fourth summer at Camp JCC. She started as a Senior Counselor and was a Program Coordinator last summer. This fall, Grace will graduate from Youngstown State University with a degree in Integrated Language Arts Education. During the school year, Grace works at the JCC as a teacher in the JCare Afterschool program. Her favorite part of camp is watching the kids grow up and form lasting friendships with each other. She can’t wait to see what this summer has in store!
Gianna Howe, Unit Head (Grades 6-8)
This will be Gianna’s third summer working at Camp JCC. Gianna was a Junior Counselor for one summer and a Senior Counselor last summer. She is currently a full-time student at Youngstown State University striving to attain a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Gianna’s favorite part of camp is being able to bring joy to the kids' lives and make a positive impact on them with memories that will last a lifetime.
Kori Marshall, Administrative Assistant
This summer will be Kori’s third summer at Camp JCC. Kori started as a Program Coordinator, and this will be her second year as administrative assistant. She has her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, and is a Kindergarten teacher at Akiva Academy. Kori’s favorite part of camp is seeing how the campers interact outside of the classroom and in the natural environment!
Other Camp Staff
Camp JCC’s largest responsibility is to ensure the health and safety of each camper entrusted to our care.
Many of Camp JCC’s staff members return each summer and form long-standing relationships with their campers. All of our staff are all First Aid and CPR certified. Leadership staff is trained in the recognition of communicable diseases and child abuse/neglect. All staff members also undergo pre-employment background checks and drug testing.
