THE RABBIS OF YOUNGSTOWN

At one time, there were five active temples in Youngstown: Rodef Sholom, Anshe Emeth, Ohev Tzedek, Children of Israel, and Emanuel El. In this lecture, Marcia Levy will present interesting facts about 25 of the area’s rabbis from 1867 to the present time.

This event is free and open to everyone. Lunch will be served.

RABBI LEE MOORE: TITANIC SURVIVORS' GRANDDAUGHTER TELLS THEIR STORY

Rabbi Lee Moore's grandfather, Meier Moor, and great-grandmother, Baila Moor, narrowly survived the sinking of the Titanic when they were immigrating to the United States during its maiden voyage. Come to hear her recount family stories about their journey, as well as her unexpected experiences during the 100th anniversary of its sinking in 2012.
