Show Statement
What does this show mean to me?
I am an artist. But I am also a proud Jewish Artist. I am proud of who I am. This solo show represents me being PRIDEFUL, Prideful in being Jewish.
In today’s world, which is full of uncertainty and hate on so many levels, it is important for myself, to show the world, that love, passion, and hope is stronger than hate. These pieces, many with a Judaic theme and approach, is to spread love. Love is universal. The Star of David represents the connection of God and the people but it is also said to fill your soul with virtues… virtues of kindness, harmony, hope and strength. Hamsa, the hand shape or Hand of God as many refer to them as, also bring forth a sense of protection and strength to guide you through your day and lives. The hand to me also means love, care, warmth and kindness.
Art, Judaic art, and bright happy colors show who I am. Spread love and kindness to all.
