MEDICAL ETHICS & END OF LIFE CARE - DR. LEONARD KANTERMAN
Join Dr. Leonard Kanterman for "Medical Ethics and End of Life Care", a presentation that addresses medical decision making in areas such as Health Care Power of Attorney, Living Wills, and DNR (Resuscitation) status. This presentation is intended to be empowering, informing seniors of how to address these issues smoothly with their families and avoid both conflict and the pitfalls of not having the proper documents in place when medical situations arise. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.
Dr. Kanterman graduated from medical school in 1977. He did his internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (now Walter Reed National Military Medical Center), and then practiced internal medicine in Warren, OH for almost 30 years, from 1984 until his retirement in 2013. He served as Chair of the Medical Ethics Committee at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for many years. Since retirement, he now splits his time between Boynton Beach, FL and Cincinnati, OH.
