Erianne Raib-Ptichkin is a well-trained and experienced local dance teacher collaborating with the JCC as the Artistic Director of the JCC School of Dance. In addition to over twenty years of dance training, Ms. Eri has studied extensively at the collegiate level, receiving both a B.A and B.S. from Youngstown State University. As an active member of Dance Masters of America, she continues to teach the art of dance at YSU, in many area studios, and local high schools. Ms. Eri is so excited to share her enthusiasm and talent with the JCC, and can't wait to pass on her passion for dance to students at the JCC School of Dance!
The JCC School of Dance program teaches children the technique, artistry, and discipline of dance in a cheerful and positive learning environment. Children develop a variety of transferable listening and learning skills in a classroom setting while being physically healthy and having fun!
Parents and caregivers have the perfect opportunity to socialize and build a lasting bond with their young children in our Parent & Me classes. From tummy time to make-believe, these classes stimulate the child's brain and senses to nurture happy and healthy children.
Adults looking to learn a new hobby or dust off their old dance shoes are now welcome to join us for our Adult Dance Program offerings in Ballet and Tap. Classes range from beginner to advanced and are a great way to wind down from a stressful day in a relaxed environment.

Private Lesson Availability (Any Age)
Lessons can be scheduled with any JCC School of Dance educator in half hour increments. Private lessons can be recurring in any of the available time slots, or on an as needed basis. Genres vary according to instructor availability.

Creative Movement Program | Ages 2-5
This class challenges young children to use their imagination and build coordination by moving to a variety of song styles.
Wednesdays, 4:00 - 4:45 p.m.
Creative Movement Level I
A class that explores beginning ballet and tap dance principles to build balance, coordination, and confidence.
Tuesdays, 4:45 - 5:30 p.m.
Creative Movement Level II
A class that continues to explore ballet and tap principles to build musicality, focus, and body awareness.

Mini Program | Ages 6-7
This class teaches the basic skills of tap dance to improve rhythm and pattern recognition.
Thursdays, 4:00 - 4:30 p.m.
This class begins to build a ballet foundation in movement phrases, musicality, and terminology.
Thursdays, 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.
This class teaches the beginning principles of jazz dance and tumbling in a safe and controlled environment.

Tap I, II, & III
A class that teaches the percussive dance style of tap. Variations of basic to advanced tap steps are learned and practiced.

Ballet I, II, & III
A that emphasizes the basic principles of ballet through body positions and movements.

Jazz I & II
A class that teaches the art of classic jazz dancing focusing on body lines, coordination, proper technique, and flexibility.

Jazz II: Mondays, 5:30 - 6:15 p.m.
Baton I, II, & III
These classes are designed for beginner to advanced twirlers to learn or maintain twirling technique and tossing skills.

Baton III: Tuesdays, 7:45 - 8:30 p.m.
A class that introduces students to basic tumbling and acrobatic stretches and exercises in a safe classroom setting.

Strength and Technique
A class for experienced dancers to build dance-related strength, learn choreography, hone technique, and improve teamwork.

Musical Theater for Actors
This class teaches basic dance skills and terminology to theater students to improve movement quality and timing.

Adult Dance Program | Ages 16 and up
Adult Tap I
A beginner to intermediate level class designed for adults to stay fit while learning how to create rhythms with their feet.
Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:15 p.m.
Adult Ballet I
A beginner level class designed for adults to stay fit while improving strength, posture, and balance.
Wednesdays, 6:15 - 7:00 p.m.
Adult Tap II
An intermediate level class for adults to explore the percussive dance style known as tap.

Adult Ballet II
This intermediate level class builds on the basic principles of ballet-like body positions and movements.

Adult Drop-In Class
Various guest teachers lead a 90 minute dance class held twice a month with each class focusing on a different genre of dance ranging from hip-hop, contemporary, tap, modern, lyrical, and more. Class is taught at an advanced level.
