Health and Saftey Policy Changes
Throughout the pandemic, we have continued to follow the national and state recommendations for safety. A resurgence of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths have been attributed to highly contagious variants of the virus as well as a significant number of unvaccinated people. Protecting the health and safety of our members and staff continues to be our priority. With that in mind, we are implementing the following policy changes at the JCC.
Effective Monday, August 16, all staff, members, and guests, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, will be required to wear a mask upon entering the building and in all high traffic areas of the JCC. At this time, we are not requiring masks outdoors, while actively exercising, swimming, or eating, or for children 2 and under.
Other changes taking effect with this policy:
- Preschool-aged children and older (3+) will be required to wear masks in the building.
- In our ELC: Children in our Preschool wing will be required to wear masks.
- Children in the Infant/Toddler wing will not be required to wear masks, however, it is highly recommended for children ages 2+.
- Enhanced physical distancing of equipment in the Fitness Center
