March is National Peanut month! This legume is a powerhouse of nutrition and flavor that people have been eating since 1400 B.C. These tasty “nuts” add flavor and texture to almost any dish. Join Mercy Health and sample a peanut forward recipe demonstration and learn the nutrition benefits of including them in your meal plans.

Lessons from the Tree of Life: Lighting the Path Forward | Reception & Presentation (All Ages) (Youth) (Adult)
Created with the Rauh Jewish History Program and Archives at the Heinz History Center, this exhibition features curated items gifted to Pittsburgh's Jewish community after the attack. It challenges visitors to reflect on antisemitism's impact in America and inspire action toward a future rooted in resilience and understanding.

This joyful dance class is designed for children to explore music and movement together while building important gross motor skills. Each three week session will feature a different theme and a kid-friendly obstacle course where children develop imaginations, coordination, and balance. Enjoy lively music as you sing, dance, and discover the joy of moving! This small group experience has a maximum of 6 participants, so register soon!

Lifeguard Instructor Certification (Ages 17+) (Youth) (Adult)
The Lifeguarding Instructor course trains candidates to teach American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Lifeguarding Blended Learning, Shallow Water Lifeguarding, Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding, Waterpark Skills, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Bloodborne Pathogens Training. Participants must possess a current Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED. This is a blended learning course, and the online portion must be completed before the class begins. The online portion will be sent after enrollment is complete.

Lifeguard Training (Ages 15+) (Youth) (Adult)
These classes provide entry level participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel can take over. Participants who successfully complete the lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, valid for two years. This is a blended learning course, and the online portion must be completed before the class begins. The online portion will be sent after enrollment is complete.
