Lifeguarding Certification Ages 15+ (Youth) (Adult)

These classes provide entry level participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel can take over. Participants who successfully complete the lifeguarding course receive an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/ AED, valid for two years. Online portion must be completed before classroom dates.

Lifeguarding Rertification Ages 15+ (Youth) (Adult)

An abbreviated Lifeguarding course that briefly reviews course information and allows practice of skills and knowledge before testing. Current certification in Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is required to participate in this review course. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED which is valid for two years.

Junior Lifeguard Program (Ages 11-14) (Youth)

This program helps to build a foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills for future lifeguards. Participants will improve their swimming skills, gain knowledge of water safety and rescue skills, and build confidence. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will have received American Red Cross certificates in Basic Water Rescue, Pediatric CPR and First Aid, and Babysitters Training.

Babysitter's Training (Youth)

Designed for new babysitters, this course is the perfect way for young people to learn about all the responsibilities that come with the job. The class includes information on how to care for infants and children, developing a babysitting business, basic first aid, and more.

Swim Prerequisites: 

(Prerequisite 1): A swim-tread-swim sequence without stopping to rest: jump into the water and totally submerge, resurface, then swim 150 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both. Maintain position at the surface of the water for two minutes by treading water using only your legs. Swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both;

 
(Prerequisite 2): Complete a timed event within one minute, 40 seconds. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards, surface dive to retrieve a 10 pound brick from 9-10 feet of water. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, holding the object at the surface with both hands and keeping the face out of or near the surface. Exit the water without using the ladder or steps.
 


Refund and Cancellation Policy


If you are unable to pass the prerequisite swim on the first day of the course, you will not receive a refund. If you would like to try a later class, you may transfer at no charge. 

If you cancel your enrollment in a class more than one week in advance, you will receive a refund, MINUS a $25 cancellation fee. If you cancel your enrollment less than a week before the start date, you will receive a refund, MINUS a $100 cancellation fee.

If you fail to show up the day of the course without notifying us, there will be no refund issued.
