The ELC at JCC: A caring community where every child can learn, play, and grow!
Infant - Toddler - Preschool
Everyone Welcome
The Early Learning Center at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown treats everyone like family and believes that all children have genius. Our goal is to help find it! Our safe and beautiful campus is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Children of all backgrounds are welcome, ages six weeks through five years.
Our Program
We strive to create and maintain a standard of excellence in social development, cultural diversity, and education. The ELC believes and promotes the Judaic values of teaching right behavior.
The Early Learning Center uses the Creative Curriculum. This nationally recognized curriculum includes creating goals and objectives for your child’s learning in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language. These goals and objectives are aligned to Ohio’s Birth-K Early Learning Content Standard.
Enrichment and Experimental Learning
Your child will have the opportunity to participate in fitness with the JCC Health and Wellness instructors, swim lessons with the JCC Aquatics team, visual art in partnership with the Paul and Yetta Gluck School of Visual Arts, “Movin’ and Groovin’” music and movement class in partnership with the JCC School of Dance instructors, and weekly Shabbat services.
The ELC curriculum inspires confidence, imagination, and lifelong critical thinking. | |
